Another Winning Lottery Ticket Sold in Lafayette County

Oct 19, 2022

For the second time in less than a month, a large Missouri Lottery prize has been claimed in Lafayette County. On the heels of a $3 million Scratchers win in Bates City in late September, a Powerball ticket worth $50,000 was redeemed at the Lottery’s Kansas City regional office on Oct. 4.

The winning ticket was purchased at Break Time, 2600 Highway Blvd., in Higginsville. It matched four of the five white-ball numbers, plus the Powerball number, in the Sept. 12 drawing. The numbers drawn that night were 6, 14, 16, 34 and 66, and the Powerball number was 25.

Players who purchased tickets in Lafayette County in FY22 won more than $3.8 million in total Missouri Lottery prizes.
Retailers in Lafayette County received more than $384,000 in commissions and bonuses in FY22, and education programs in the county received more than $687,000 in appropriated Lottery proceeds.

Wednesday’s Powerball jackpot is estimated at $508 million. If the jackpot is hit, the “Jackpot Reset” promotion will be activated – giving players who buy three Powerball plays for the next drawing on a single ticket a free $2 Powerball ticket.
