A Missouri Lottery player took a chance on a “Ca$h Plu$” Scratchers ticket when his favorite game wasn’t available. He was still in the parking lot when he realized he’d won one of the game’s $100,000 top prizes.

“It worked out nicely for me,” the winner laughed.

The winning ticket was purchased at Blue Light, 1001 Burlington St., in Kansas City.

In the FY22, players who purchased tickets in Jackson County won more than $103.1 million in total Missouri Lottery prizes. Retailers in the county received more than $9.3 million in commissions and bonuses, and education programs in the county received more than $50.2 million in appropriated Lottery proceeds.
