A Missouri Lottery player won a $50,000 prize on a “Rose Gold” Scratchers ticket he purchased at ­­­­­Dierbergs, 860 Arnold Commons Drive, in Arnold.

 The winner initially went into the store to buy groceries, but he walked out with one of the game’s second-level prizes.

 “I was pretty excited,” he said.

 “Rose Gold” is a $10 game with over $14.8 million in unclaimed prizes, including a top prize of $1 million and another $50,000 prize.

In the last fiscal year, players who purchased tickets in Jefferson County won more than $38.9 million in total Missouri Lottery prizes. Retailers in the county received more than $3.9 million in commissions and bonuses, and education programs in the county received more than $13.5 million in appropriated Lottery proceeds.
