After playing the same Show Me Cash numbers for three weeks, a Missouri Lottery player changed up his numbers and hit the $87,000 jackpot in the June 20 drawing.

The winner explained he had selected his new set of numbers using a combination of ways.

“I moved some numbers around from tickets I had bought in the past and threw in some anniversaries and things like that,” he said. 

He purchased the winning ticket at Gas N Stuff, 2599 S. Old Highway 41, in Fenton.

When he checked it later, he wasn’t sure what to make of the results.

“I scanned it,” he said. “And music and horns started playing out of the machine, and I didn’t know what was going on!”

It was only after the store clerk explained that he had won the $87,000 jackpot that reality hit him.

“My legs were getting all wobbly!” he shared. “I was so shocked!”

The winning numbers on June 20 were 14, 15, 24, 31 and 35.

Show Me Cash is drawn daily at 8:59 p.m., with jackpots that start at $50,000 and grow until won.  Tonight’s Show Me Cash jackpot is estimated at $72,000.

In FY21, players in Jefferson County won more than $38.9 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $3.9 million in commissions and bonuses, and more than $13.5 million in Lottery proceeds went to education programs in the county.
