Weekly Accounting Data

Did you know retailers can receive weekly accounting reports via e-mail? The Missouri Lottery can supply you with weekly accounting information in a variety of formats.

Data files are generated every Tuesday for the accounting week ending the previous Saturday. These files are automatically e-mailed to your designated e-mail address or transferred to your FTP server.

Files are available in two different ASCII formats and three different Excel formats. An XML format is under development. In addition, files can be encrypted using GNU Privacy Guard, a free, open-source encryption utility that is compatible with the commercial encryption utility PGP.

ASCII Files

The ASCII files are column-delimited and comma-delimited. They are designed to be directly imported into your data system. Both files contain the same 20 fields as defined in the field specifications.

For each vendor location, the ASCII files list:

• All Pull-Tab and instant ticket pack numbers pending at the end of the week;
• A daily detail of on-line ticket sales, commissions, cashes and line fees;
• Pull-Tab and instant ticket pack numbers that dropped from pending;
• Pull-Tab and instant ticket validations;
• Electronic funds transfers for the entire chain.

Excel files

The Excel files are intended to be used as readable reports. They can be used as-is or the data can be pasted into your own custom reports. The Excel files are a "Weekly Aggregate Summary" and a "Weekly Summary by Day."
