After seeing the Powerball jackpot reach $1.6 billion for the Nov. 5 drawing, a group of four friends decided to go in on a few Quick Pick tickets together. The result was a $50,000 prize.
“I texted everyone and was like, ‘Hey, am I crazy or did we just win $50, 000?’” one of the winners shared.
The winning ticket was purchased at QuikTrip, 1402 N. State Route 291 in Harrisonville, with the winning number combination of 28, 45, 53, 56, 69 and a Powerball number of 20. The winners matched four of five white-ball numbers, as well as the Powerball number drawn.
Powerball is a $2 per play multi-state Draw Game with drawings held on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays at 9:59 p.m. All current and past winning numbers can be found at MOLottery.com.
In FY22, players who purchased tickets in Cass County won more than $17.2 million in total Missouri Lottery prizes. Retailers in the county received more than $1.5 million in commissions and bonuses, and education programs in the county received more than $2.1 million in appropriated Lottery proceeds.
