Nov. 16, 2022

Interested in the growing jackpot, a Missouri Lottery player decided to try her luck on a Quick Pick ticket for the Oct. 26 Powerball drawing. That decision landed her a $50,000 prize.

“I was just extremely excited,” she shared. “I had to keep checking my ticket over and over again.”

The winning ticket was purchased at Alta Convenience Store, 5418 E. St. Charles Road in Columbia, with the winning number combination of 19, 36, 37, 46, 56 and a Powerball number of 24. The player matched four of five white-ball numbers, as well as the Powerball number drawn.

The winner plans to use the money for home improvements and investments.

Wednesday’s Powerball  jackpot is estimated at $76 million.

In FY22, players in Boone County won more than $31 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $2.3 million in commissions and bonuses, and more than $50.1 million in Lottery proceeds went to education programs in the county.
