Nov. 17, 2022

A $100,000 prize won on a Missouri Lottery “Mega Cash Blast” Scratchers ticket will be used to start a new business.

“I want to open a coffee shop,” the winner shared. “It’s going to help me a lot.”

The ticket was purchased from a kiosk at Cosentino Price Chopper, 5800 Wilson Road in Kansas City, and the prize was later claimed in the Lottery’s Kansas City regional office.

The winner recalled uncovering the “WIN ALL” symbol on the ticket and adding the prizes up to total $100,000.

“Oh, I cannot believe it,” the winner laughed. “That was a good day for me.”

Since the $20 “Mega Cash Blast” ticket became available in February, players have won more than $31.3 million in prizes in the game, with one $2 million top prize and one more $100,000 second-tier prize still unclaimed.

In FY22, players in Jackson County won more than $103.1 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $9.3 million in commissions and bonuses, and more than $50.2 million in Lottery proceeds went to education programs in the county.
