LESLIE WOMAN WINS $5,000 DOING CROSSWORD

Story Photo Playing "Crossword" paid off for a Leslie woman when she uncovered a $5,000 cash prize on March 21.   Christy Geasland, 41, said she took some of her sister’s lottery tickets to Gerald Conoco, Highway 50 in Gerald, to redeem.  Before she left, she bought $7 worth of tickets for herself, and the one "Crossword" Scratchers ticket she bought turned out to be a $5,000 winner.

Geasland, who is a waitress for a bar and grill in Gerald, said she is not sure what she will do the prize money.

The Missouri Lottery’s $3 "Crossword" game officially started Oct. 12.
