A laborer from Nevada won $10,000 playing the Missouri Lottery’s "$100,000 Payday" Scratchers game. Lawrence "Jeff" Burns, 37, said every morning, he stops at Cash N Dash in Nevada to buy coffee and a couple of Scratchers tickets. On March 20, he bought three "Payday" Scratchers tickets, and the third one was worth $10,000. "My truck quit three weeks ago," he said. Burns said he plans to fix his truck and maybe buy another one with his winnings.
"It (winning) came at a pretty good time," said Burns, who is a laborer for a window company in Kansas.
"$100,000 Payday," which went on sale Oct. 12, 2002, offers a top prize of $100,000 and a chance to win up to 20 times on each ticket.
