ST. LOUIS COUPLE CLAIM POWERBALL JACKPOT

A St. Louis couple came forward to claim half of the Feb. 22 Powerball jackpot worth $42 million.  Milton and Ethel Schroeder of St. Louis (63123*) will share half of the jackpot with one ticket holder in the state of Louisiana.  Each will receive approximately $21 million.

Milton Schroeder purchased the winning ticket at Johnny’s Market, 11555 Gravois Road in St. Louis.  He selected the winning numbers using family birthdays.  The winning numbers were:  2, 5, 6, 9, 10 and the Powerball number was 26.

In addition to the Schroeder’s prize money, the store will receive a bonus of $50,000 for selling a winning Powerball jackpot ticket.

To date, 182 jackpot tickets worth $1 million or more have been sold since the Missouri Lottery began nearly 17 years ago.  Of those winning tickets, 21 were Powerball jackpots.  Missouri ranks second in terms of the number of winning jackpot tickets sold among the 25 members of Powerball.
