LEBANON COOK TO BUY HOUSE WITH LOTTERY PRIZE

A cook for a Lebanon restaurant whipped up enough cash to buy his and his wife’s first house after winning $20,000 in the Missouri Lottery’s "Pot O’ Gold" Scratchers game.   Russell Molone, 35, said along with buying the house that they have been renting the past year and a half, the couple also plan to get their car fixed with some of the winnings.

Molone’s wife, Kimberly, purchased the winning ticket for the couple on Feb. 11 at Kwik Pantry, 707 N. Jefferson in Lebanon.   They each scratched half of the tickets she purchased, and Russell was the one who uncovered the big prize.

Russell and Kimberly Molone both work at Jay’s Family Dining in Lebanon; Jay is a cook and Kimberly is a waitress.

"Pot O’ Gold," a $2 Scratchers game, officially went on sale Feb. 1.
