"I think this would be a real nice graduation present for him," said Oberholtz, who is an accountant for Blackwell Sanders Law Firm in Kansas City. Oberholtz said he would like to give the new Explorer to his son for his hard work in college, and he would take his son’s older car.
The third and final drawing of the promotion was held Jan. 16, and the winners were validated and made official today.
In addition to Oberholtz winning a Ford Explorer, four other players won their choice of either a $5,000 travel certificate or $5,000 worth of furniture. Those winners are: Dannie Byrd of Purdy, Nancy Green of St. Louis, Cathy Marriott of Jefferson City and Steve Schulte of Overland.
Six entrants will get to choose between a $1,000 shopping spree and a $1,000 travel certificate, a 61-inch television or a computer system by being drawn as second-place winners. They are: Lillian McClure of Independence, Tim McCray of Kansas City, Ben Morgan of Marshfield, Elaine Peters of Independence, Julie Sizemore of Independence and Deanna Whitlock of St. Joseph.
Fifty other Missouri Lottery players were drawn to win $500 cash. Visit www.molottery.com for a complete list of winners.
