DIAMOND GAME BRINGS CASH FOR DIAMOND ANNIVERSARY

Story Photo A Renick man can easily afford to buy his wife the traditional gift of diamonds for their upcoming 10th wedding anniversary after recently uncovering a $25,000 cash top prize in the Missouri Lottery’s "Lucky Diamonds" Scratchers game.   Brian Lewis, 49, said he plans to use the money to pay bills, along with celebrating his and his wife’s, Lori’s, anniversary in February.

"I thought I won $10 before I scratched off all the amounts," he said.   "Lori didn’t believe it."

Lewis claimed his winning ticket on Jan. 14.   He purchased his lucky ticket at Break Time, 117 Highway 22 West in Centralia.

“Lucky Diamonds,” a $2 Scratchers game, officially went on sale Dec. 25, 2002.
