TRUCKING COMPANY EMPLOYEES SHARING $100,000
A group of 12 employees at M.B. Trucking Company in Troy are sharing a $100,000 prize after playing Powerball as a group for the first time for the record Christmas day drawing. The winners, who will each receive approximately $8,333 before taxes, are: Debbie White, Floyd White, Carl Gray and Ronald Robertson, all of
Winfield; Gerald Bartley Sr., Angela Bobeen, Michael Bobeen and Walter Bockhorst, all of
Troy; Shad Schwede of
Wright City; Eric Spires of
Truxton; Scott Mueller of
Warrenton; and Grover Turner of
Bowling Green.
"It was a merry Christmas present," said Debbie White, the secretary at the company who purchased the tickets for the group. Each of the 12 participants contributed $10 to the drawing.
White said the 12 employees decided to play Powerball as a group during their work Christmas party. White bought the group’s tickets at Parkside Mini Mart in Troy. She let the computer select the numbers on the winning play. They were: 5, 14, 16, 29 and 53.
To date, 636 Powerball tickets sold in Missouri have matched all five white-ball numbers drawn to win the $100,000 prize.
