PINEVILLE WOMAN SCRATCHES OFF $30,000
A Pineville woman is already receiving good luck and prosperity in the New Year after scratching off a $30,000 prize on a "Cash Zone" Scratchers ticket she purchased Dec. 31. Leann Beaudry, 45, said he purchased the $2 "Cash Zone" ticket on New Year’s Eve at The Jug Store, U.S. Highway 71 in Jane. "My friends call me the ’scratch-off queen,’" said Beaudry. "I’m always playing them (Scratchers)."
Beaudry, who is a waitress for Kathy’s Kountry Kitchen in Noel, said she plans to use the money to pay off her car loan and a few other bills.
The Missouri Lottery’s $2 "Cash Zone" game officially started July 27.
