HANNIBAL WOMAN WINS $100,000 IN POWERBALL

Story Photo A lab technician for Hannibal Regional Hospital is $100,000 richer after matching all five white-ball numbers in the Dec. 21 Powerball drawing.   Vicki Latham, 50, of Hannibal said she plans to use her prize money to pay off bills and put some money in the bank.

"I might save some for a trip to Ireland," she said.  "I’m part Irish."

Latham purchased her winning ticket Dec. 20 at Ayerco, 1208 Mark Twain in Hannibal, when she stopped to get a snack on the way home.  She picked the winning numbers at random.   They were:  5, 22, 34, 39 and 52.

To date, 636 Powerball tickets sold in Missouri have matched all five white-ball numbers drawn to win the $100,000 prize.
