AUXVASSE WOMAN CLAIMS $1,000 KENO PRIZE

Story Photo An Auxvasse woman has an extra $1,000 for Christmas shopping after her former husband played Club Keno.   Tonja Day, 39, said her ex-husband, Ed Hornberger, was playing Club Keno on Dec. 19 when he matched six numbers on a six spot to win the prize and decided to give the prize to Day.  Hornberger used numbers from his birthday and the couple’s two children’s birthdays for the winning combination.  Those numbers were:  1, 5, 10, 19, 24 and 26.

Hornberger played Club Keno at the Dugout Bar & Grill in Mexico, where Day works as a bartender.

Day said she planned to use the prize money to "make a lot more Christmas."  She also plans to catch up on some bills, since she has been unable to work since being injured in a car accident on Nov. 27.

Club Keno began on May 28.   Players can win from $1 to $100,000 per $1 ticket per drawing.
