EAGLES IN MOBERLY SELLS SIXTH BIG KENO PRIZE

Story Photo The Fraternal Order of the Eagles club in Moberly sold its sixth big Club Keno prize on Dec. 11.   David Messer, 61, of Moberly claimed a $5,000 prize he won by matching seven numbers on a seven-spot game.  Those lucky numbers were:  7, 8, 9, 12, 21, 23 and 28.

"We’ll have a better Christmas," Messer said.  "We may take a trip to Alaska, too."

Messer said he played Club Keno on the afternoon of Dec. 11, when he was having a few drinks and his friend suggested he play.  When he won, his friend, Liz Piagentini, got up and danced, while Messer was "in shock."

In addition to Messer’s recent win, five other big winning Club Keno tickets have been sold at that location since the game began in late May.  Those tickets were:  a $600 prize sold on June 2; a $1,000 prize sold on June 9; a $1,000 prize sold on July 7; a $3,000 prize sold on Sept. 9; and a $5,000 prize sold on Nov. 5.

Club Keno began on May 28.  Players can win from $1 to $100,000 per $1 ticket per drawing.
