ARKANSAS MAN WINS $100,000 WITH TICKET BOUGHT IN CARDWELL

Story Photo An Arkansas man can be glad he made a drive to Cardwell to buy Missouri Lottery tickets after one of his tickets turned out to be worth $100,000.   Ron Carner, 41, of Bono, Ark., purchased his winning Powerball ticket for the Nov. 30 drawing at Road Runner Petro in Cardwell.  He used his children’s birthdays to pick the winning numbers.  They were:  1, 4, 19, 21 and 29.

Carner, an electronics technician who is currently laid off, plans to use the windfall to pay bills, help his family and put some in a college fund for his two children.

"We’ll have a nice Christmas, too," he said.

To date, 626 Powerball tickets sold in Missouri have matched all five white-ball numbers drawn to win the $100,000 prize.
