Story Photo

A weekly trip to Missouri to buy cigarettes resulted in a $100,000 windfall for a Godfrey, Ill., man. Bobby Collins Sr., 58, said each week he goes to Dirt Cheap Cigarettes & Beer in West Alton, and while there, he also buys a few Missouri Lottery tickets. On Oct. 31, a Powerball ticket he bought at the store matched all five white-ball numbers drawn to win $100,000.

Collins said he plans to make some home improvements and take a vacation with his winnings.

To date, 622 Powerball tickets sold in Missouri have matched all five white-ball numbers drawn to win the $100,000 prize.
