SPRINGFIELD WOMAN WINS $100,000

Story Photo

A pharmacy technician for St. John’s Hospital in Springfield will be shopping for furniture and a television after winning $100,000 in the Nov. 6 Powerball drawing. Robbin Herron, 47, of Springfield said she may also use some of the money to pay down her home loan.

Herron bought her winning ticket at Signal Food Store, 2415 S. Campbell in Springfield. She used a set of numbers that her husband picked randomly several years ago. Those numbers were: 9, 11, 12, 17 and 19.

To date, 622 Powerball tickets sold in Missouri have matched all five white-ball numbers drawn to win the $100,000 prize.
