DIXON MAN WINS $9,500 PLAYING BUILDING NUMBER

Story Photo

A dining facilities manager at Fort Leonard Wood won $9,500 in Pick 4 by playing the four numbers in his dining hall building address: 3-2-2-3. Anthony "Tony" Johnson, 56, said he’s been playing those numbers for quite some time. On Halloween, those numbers came up, and Johnson won $6,000 for matching those numbers straight and $3,500 for matching those numbers in a straight/box to win a total of $9,500.

"My boss knew I won right away, because he knows that I play my building number," Johnson said when he claimed his prize in Jefferson City on Nov. 1.

Johnson and his wife, Linda, said they plan to use the prize money to have a nice Christmas. They also may take their three grown children and their families to Silver Dollar City in Branson during the holidays.
