A Pierce City husband brought home more than the usual "bacon" on Sept. 30 after he purchased a Missouri Lottery Scratchers ticket worth $100,000. Rokita Harris, 36, said her husband, Laddy, 35, bought one $5 "Casino Action" Scratchers ticket and a couple $1 Scratchers tickets that day. The "Casino Action" ticket turned out to be worth the game’s $100,000 top prize.

"We’ll probably use some of the money to pay bills," said Rokita Harris, who claimed the prize for the couple on Oct. 1. "We have a daughter who is a senior in high school, so we’ll use some for her college."

Harris purchased the winning ticket at Prime Time Store, Highway 37 in Pierce City. The couple are both employed with Ozark Mountain Apparel in Monett.

"Casino Action," the Missouri Lottery’s 425th Scratchers game, officially went on sale Aug. 14.
