ST. LOUIS WOMAN WINS $50,000 TAX PAID

A St. Louis (63104**) woman can put a new roof on her house after winning $50,000 tax paid in the Missouri Lottery’s SHOW ME 5 Paydown drawing on Sept. 21. Anne Kasal, 48, purchased her winning ticket at Globe Cut Rate Drugs, 1900 S. Broadway in St. Louis. She used a set of numbers she picked at random 20 years ago. Those numbers are: 2, 5, 14, 16 and 24.

To date, 45 players have matched all five numbers drawn to win $50,000 tax paid in SHOW ME 5 Paydown since the game began Nov. 6, 2000.

* The Missouri Lottery will pay 27 percent federal and 4 percent state withholding taxes for the top prize based on it’s value. Depending on personal income, winners may owe additional taxes for the prize, or they may be entitled to a refund. Total value of the top prize is $72,463.76. After withholding, winners will receive $50,000. If more than 14 players match the five winning numbers in a single drawing, $1 million will be divided equally among the number of winning tickets.
