FORMER MISSOURI MAN WINS $100,000 IN HOMETOWN

An over-the-road truck driver from Savannah, Tenn., hauled in $100,000 when he stopped in his hometown of Hazelwood. Andrew Hezel, 42, said he goes to Hazelwood to visit his mom. On a recent visit, he purchased a $5 Powerball ticket and wound up winning $100,000 in the Sept. 18 drawing.

Hezel said he is still not sure what he will do with the prize money. He purchased his winning ticket at QuikTrip, 5950 Howdershell in Hazelwood. He used Quick Pick to select the winning numbers. They were: 6, 27, 32, 42 and 44.

To date, 618 Powerball tickets sold in Missouri have matched all five white-ball numbers drawn to win the $100,000 prize.
