HIGGINSVILLE WOMAN WINS $20,000 INSTANTLY

A Higginsville convenience store clerk is finally getting a new sewing machine after winning $20,000 in the Missouri Lottery’s "Leprechaun Luck" Scratchers game. Linda Bauer, 54, said she has been wanting a new sewing machine for 30 years. "We aren’t sure what else we will do with the money," she said. Bauer purchased her winning ticket Feb. 1 at Spirit Corner, 228 N. Lafayette in Corder, where she works as a clerk. "Leprechaun Luck" is the 399th Scratchers game offered by the Missouri Lottery. It officially went on sale during the week of Jan. 28.
