SUNRISE BEACH WOMAN WINS $5,000 PLAYING CLUB KENO
Bar patrons received a free round of drinks on Sept. 3 after the bar owner won $5,000 playing Club Keno. Shirley "Cricket" Hush of Sunrise Beach, owner of Cricket’s where she bought her winning ticket, said all the bar patrons got involved checking her ticket to make sure it was a winner.
"It was a lot of fun," Hush said. "I think everyone was as excited as I was."
Hush, who co-owns Cricket’s along with her husband, Terry, won the top prize on a seven-spot ticket. She selected her winning numbers using family ages and important dates.
Club Keno began on May 28. Players can win from $1 to $100,000 per $1 ticket per drawing.
