Story Photo

A $50,000 Missouri Lottery Powerball prize is providing a boost to a Climax Springs couple’s bank account. Vincent and Sharon Burget visited Lottery Headquarters on Aug. 26 to claim a $50,000 Powerball prize they won from the Aug. 20 drawing. Vincent purchased the ticket from Paul’s Quick Shop and Storage, 397 Bollinger Creek Road in Climax Springs, and was one of two Lottery players to match four white balls and the Powerball in the drawing – 3, 6, 21, 60 and 68 with a Powerball of 24 – resulting in a $50,000 prize.

Powerball is a $2 per play multi-state Draw Game that features jackpots starting at $40 million. Since the Powerball matrix change in 2015, 66 prizes of $50,000 have been claimed by Missouri Lottery players. Powerball drawings are held on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 9:59 p.m. Research all current and past winning numbers here at MOLottery.com.
