Friends Split $50,000 Powerball Prize

Story Photo

Two Kansas City-area friends split a $50,000 Missouri Lottery prize. Cathy Hillman of Gladstone and Jack Hansen of Oak Grove recently claimed a $50,000 prize from the July 27 Powerball drawing. Each took half of the prize from the winning Quick Pick ticket they purchased together at Price Chopper, 4820 N. Oak Trafficway, in Kansas City.

They won the prize after matching four white-ball numbers and the Powerball number in the July 27 drawing. The winning numbers for that night were:  10, 47, 50, 65, 68, and the Powerball number was 24.

Powerball is a multi-state Draw Game with jackpots that start at $40 million and grow until someone wins. For an extra $1 at the time of purchase, players can add Power Play to a ticket and win larger non-jackpot prizes.
