The Mega Millions jackpot reached its third-highest level ever over the weekend, and even though it wasn’t hit in Missouri, one Missouri Lottery player won $1 million by matching all five white-ball numbers drawn on July 8. The lucky ticket was sold at Schottzie’s Bar & Grill, 11428 Concord Village Ave., in St. Louis.  The winning number combination was:  8, 19, 20, 55 and 73.

“Check those tickets,” said May Scheve Reardon, executive director of the Missouri Lottery. “If you’re holding the winning ticket from Friday, please sign the back of it immediately and keep it in a safe place until you are ready to claim your prize at one of our Lottery offices.”

Draw Game winners, including those who play Mega Millions, have exactly 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prize. In this case, the winner has until Jan. 4, 2017. Prizes can be claimed at any of the Lottery’s four offices, which are located in St. Louis, Jefferson City, Springfield and Kansas City.

The win marks the fifth time a Missouri Lottery Mega Millions player has won a $1 million Match 5 prize.

This Tuesday’s Mega Millions jackpot resets to $15 million.
