On the heels of the one-year anniversary of his $1 million Missouri Lottery Scratchers win, Ronnie Kirby of Jonesboro, Ark., was back at Lottery offices to claim a $100,000 windfall from a “Millionaire Riches” Scratchers game. Kirby purchased his latest winning ticket on June 4 from Mr. T’s Liquor Store, 510 U.S. Highway 412 in Cardwell, the same location he purchased his $1 million ticket in 2015.

“I go over there to have lunch or breakfast and scratch some tickets every so often,” he said, while claiming his $100,000 prize. “That’s my second home. They’re all a good bunch over there.”

He uncovered his prize while at the Lottery retail location after purchasing a variety of Scratchers tickets.

“At first glance I didn’t know how much it was. I mean, I knew it was big money, but I didn’t realize that it was $100,000,” said Kirby, who matched all 20 numbers on the ticket.

Kirby and his girlfriend, Linda Kellems, were camping in northern Arkansas on June 7 when they decided to claim the winning ticket.
“We were camped out at Norfork Lake in Arkansas, and figured we would come up to Springfield to turn this little ticket in,” he said.

The two-time winner still has some of his first winnings left over after paying off his house and other purchases. Kirby, who is expecting his second grandchild, plans to deposit his second windfall in the bank as savings for the future.

A $10 Missouri Lottery Scratchers game, “Millionaire Riches” was introduced on April 6, 2015. Since the game’s introduction, players have claimed more than $24 million in prizes, leaving another $13.9 million in prizes still available in the game.
