Willow Springs Man Scratches Off $100,000 Prize

A Willow Springs man recently went from feeling bad to feeling good after he uncovered a $100,000 prize on a Missouri Lottery “$1,000 Frenzy” Scratchers ticket. Tyler Worley, 24, said he stopped at Casey’s General Store in Cabool on May 20 for a drink.

“I stopped for a Sprite to take Alka Seltzer because I was sick,” said Worley, a truck driver. “I pulled a $10 out of my pocket and I had money left, so I bought one ticket.”

He scratched half of the ticket in the car and started “shaking badly,” so he scratched the rest of the play area off at home.

Worley said he and his wife, Ashly, will use the money to buy a new TV. He said they will also pay off bills and put some away for their 3-year-old daughter.

Worley is the second person in his family to win a large Missouri Lottery prize. He said his father, Rick Worley, won a $100,000 prize on a $10 “Millionaire Riches” ticket last October.

“$1,000 Frenzy,” a $10 game, is one of four “frenzy” Scratchers games now offered by the Missouri Lottery. The games officially started on Dec. 29. Prizes in the game range from $10 to $1 million. Remaining prizes for all Missouri Lottery Scratchers tickets can be tracked at MOLottery.com.
