BERTRAND MAN WINS $100,000 IN POWERBALL

A Bertrand man is $100,000 richer after matching all five white-ball numbers in the Aug. 17 Powerball drawing. Louis Krauss, 39, said he plans to use his winnings to buy some land. Krauss, who works for Union Electric, purchased his winning ticket at Break Time, 1302 S. Main in Sikeston. He let the computer generate the winning combination. Those numbers were: 3, 26, 33, 42 and 46. To date, 603 Powerball tickets sold in Missouri have matched all five white-ball numbers drawn to win the $100,000 prize.
