A request for a “good” Missouri Lottery ticket resulted in a $30,000 payday for one Wentzville man. Deon Richie, 20, walked into Hawk’s Nest Convenience, 359 Luetkenhaus Blvd. in Wentzville, on May 5 and purchased three “Bankroll Tripler” Scratchers tickets. He won a $30,000 top prize on the first ticket he scratched.

“I just said, ‘Hey. Give me one of the lucky ones.’ He said, ‘Here. Take these,’” recalled Richie.

He took the tickets home to scratch, where he uncovered the $30,000 prize.
“I had the whole house going crazy,” said Richie.

He added that he wasn’t a big player; he just gets a few Scratchers “from time to time,” and he admitted that he still would play.

“Keep playing,” he suggested to other players.

“I’m going to start off by getting a car,” said Richie, adding that he wanted a Dodge Charger.

Bankroll Tripler” is a $2 game that officially began Feb. 29. More than $5 million in prizes remain in the game, including four top prizes. Track prizes remaining for any Missouri Lottery Scratchers game here at MOLottery.com.
