St. Louis Schnucks Location Generates $1.3 Million for Public Education

Since 2011, Schnucks Market, 1020 Loughborough Ave. in St. Louis, has been welcomed into the Missouri Lottery’s Million Dollar Club. Updated annually, the Million Dollar Club consists of all Missouri Lottery retailers that have sold more than $1 million in Lottery products during a given year. Based on the location’s Lottery sales in 2015, this Schnucks Market generated more than $275,000 to public education.

“The key to the success of the Missouri Lottery is our partnerships with more than 4,700 Missouri retailers,” began May Scheve Reardon, executive director of the Missouri Lottery. “With more than $1.3 million in education contributions based on Lottery sales since 2011, our long-standing partnership with this Schnucks location continually proves to be valuable.”

Reardon continued, explaining that sales from every Missouri Lottery retailer benefits public education, and that the Million Dollar Club is a way to honor retail locations that are going above and beyond to raise money for a variety of programs, including A+ Scholarships, Virtual Schools, Special Education Excess Costs, Access Missouri, the Classroom Trust Fund, library acquisitions and educational scholarships.

“We are hosting a customer appreciation event at this Schnucks location today to celebrate the store’s success and reward their customers by awarding prizes,” Reardon said.
