Education Benefits More Than $1.4 Million from St. Louis Schnucks Store

The Missouri Lottery hosted a customer appreciation event today at Schnucks Market, 5055 Arsenal in St. Louis (63139)*, to celebrate the store’s induction into the Lottery’s Million Dollar Club for the fifth year in a row.

“The Million Dollar Club is our way of celebrating a retail location’s success by having fun with their customers and awarding prizes,” said May Scheve Reardon, executive director of the Missouri Lottery. “Retailers who sell more than $1 million in Lottery products in one calendar year are welcomed into the elite group. The 28 retailers that were inducted into the 2015 Club collectively generated millions for public education based on their Lottery sales.”

Reardon said that public education benefited more than $264,000 based on Lottery sales from this specific Schnucks Market in 2015 alone. In the five years that this Schnucks Market has been a member of the Million Dollar Club, more than $1.4 million has been generated for public education based on their Lottery sales.

“Public education is the real winner here. Sales from all of our retail locations generate important funding for a variety of programs, including A+ Scholarships, Virtual Schools and Special Education Excess costs, among other programs. It’s the great partnerships with all of our retail partners that make all of this success possible,” concluded Reardon.
