More Than $1 Million Generated by St. Louis Area Schnucks for Education

Each year, the Missouri Lottery celebrates its top-selling retailers by inducting them into the annual Million Dollar Club. True to its name, the Club consists of all retailers that sold more than $1 million in Lottery products the previous year, collectively contributing millions to public education.

During the past four years, Schnucks Market, 9074 Overland Plaza in St. Louis, has consistently earned a spot in the Million Dollar Club, contributing more than $1 million to public education based on their Lottery sales in that four-year timespan.

“This Schnucks location is on a roll,” began May Scheve Reardon, executive director of the Missouri Lottery. “In 2015 alone, public education received more than $256,000 based on Lottery sales at this Schnucks Market. To show our appreciation, the Lottery is hosting a customer appreciation event at the Schnucks location today to celebrate their achievement and award prizes to their customers.”

Reardon continued, explaining that sales from every Missouri Lottery retailer benefits public education, and that the Million Dollar Club is a way to honor retail locations that are going above and beyond to raise money for a variety of programs, including A+ Scholarships, Virtual Schools, Special Education Excess Costs, Access Missouri, the Classroom Trust Fund, library acquisitions and educational scholarships.
