St. Louis Shop 'n Save Contributes More Than $772,000 to Public Education

In three years’ time, Missouri Lottery sales at Shop ‘n Save, 3865 Gravois Ave. in St. Louis, have generated more than $772,000 for public education. Each year since 2013, the Shop ‘n Save location has sold more than $1 million in Lottery products. In honor of their efforts, Shop ‘n Save is again being inducted into the Missouri Lottery’s Million Dollar Club.

“The 2015 Million Dollar Club consists of 28 Lottery retailers. Each of these locations sold more than $1 million in Lottery products during 2015, contributing millions of dollars to public education,” said May Scheve Reardon, executive director of the Missouri Lottery. “Lottery sales from this Shop ‘n Save last year generated more than $261,000 for public education, bringing their three-year public education contribution total to more than $772,000.”

Reardon explained that sales from every Missouri Lottery retailer benefits public education, and that the Million Dollar Club is a way to honor retail locations that are going above and beyond to raise money for a variety of programs, including A+ Scholarships, Virtual Schools, Special Education Excess Costs, Access Missouri, the Classroom Trust Fund, library acquisitions and educational scholarships.

“We are hosting a customer appreciation event at this Shop ‘n Save today to celebrate the store’s success and reward their customers by awarding prizes,” Reardon said.
