Public Education Benefits $1.8 Million from St. Louis Area Schnucks Market

For five straight years, Schnucks Market, 4171 Lindell Blvd. in St. Louis, has been one of the highest-selling Missouri Lottery retail locations.

“This Schnucks Market location has consistently dedicated their efforts to benefit public education,” said May Scheve Reardon, executive director for the Missouri Lottery. “In fact, Lottery sales at this Schnucks Market over the past five years have generated more than $1.8 million for public education; more than $415,000 during calendar year 2015 alone.”

For selling more than $1 million in Missouri Lottery products last year, Schnucks Market is again being inducted into the Lottery’s Million Dollar Club. Updated annually, the Club consists of top-selling Missouri Lottery retailers that sell more than $1 million in product, collectively contributing millions of dollars to public education. In recognition of their success, the Missouri Lottery hosted a customer appreciation event at the store on May 2.

“The customer appreciation event is our way to celebrate the store’s success while also rewarding their customers with prizes,” Reardon said.

Reardon added that the Million Dollar Club honors retail locations that are going above and beyond to raise money for a variety of programs, including A+ Scholarships, Virtual Schools, Special Education Excess Costs, Access Missouri, the Classroom Trust Fund, library acquisitions and educational scholarships.
