Not only did Kansas City resident Arturo Gonzalezmata win a $50,000 Powerball prize in the Feb. 17 drawing, he managed to double his prize to $100,000 by including Power Play for an extra $1 at the time of purchase. Gonzalezmata, 54, won by matching four of the five white ball numbers and the Powerball number drawn in the Feb. 17 drawing, which were:  7, 17, 27, 29 and 40 with a Powerball of 25. The Power Play number drawn in the drawing was 2, which multiplied the original $50,000 prize to $100,000.

Gonzalezmata purchased his winning Powerball ticket from New Mark Sunfresh, 10225 North Oak Trafficway, in Kansas City.

Powerball is a $2 per play multi-state Draw Game that features jackpots starting at $40 million. For an extra $1, Powerball players can add the Power Play option for the chance to multiply their non-jackpot winnings up to 10 times. The current Powerball jackpot for the Wednesday, April 27, drawing is an estimated $282 million. Research all current and past winning numbers here at MOLottery.com.
