St. Louis Man Claims $150,000 Powerball Prize

Story Photo

A St. Louis man who won $150,000 from the Missouri Lottery on April 13 claimed his prize the next day. Joseph Green, 28, matched four white-ball numbers and the Powerball number in the April 13 drawing and multiplied that prize into $150,000 by adding Power Play to his ticket. Power Play is available for an extra $1 at the time of purchase and increases non-jackpot winnings.

Green bought his winning ticket at Royal Food Mart, 4200 Jennings Station Road, in St. Louis. He selected his own numbers. The winning numbers on April 13 were:  30, 33, 35, 38, 64, and the Powerball number was 22. The Power Play number was three, turning the $50,000 prize into $150,000.

Powerball is a multi-state Draw Game with drawings twice a week on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Jackpots start at $40 million and grow quickly.
