Richard Cahill has been a fan of the Missouri Lottery since it began 30 years ago, but the Show Me Cash Draw Game has been one of his favorites ever since it debuted in 2008. The daily Show Me Cash player used Quick Pick to match all five numbers drawn – 1, 14, 19, 37 and 38 – in the March 1 drawing, bringing him a $151,000 jackpot.

While claiming his Show Me Cash jackpot at the Lottery’s Springfield office on March 2, Cahill said that he realized he had won during his daily morning routine of reading the Joplin Globe. When he saw that he had matched all five numbers drawn, Cahill brought the paper to his wife to make sure his eyes weren’t playing tricks on him.

With his $151,000 prize, Cahill plans on giving a portion of his prize to his children, devoting some towards savings, and donating the rest to veteran’s affairs organizations and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Cahill purchased his winning ticket from Pump ‘n Petes, 301 W. Central Ave., in Carthage. For selling the winning jackpot ticket, Pump ‘n Petes received a $500 bonus check.

Show Me Cash” is a daily Draw Game that feature a rolling jackpot starting at $50,000 that grows until someone wins. Cahill’s $151,000 win marks the 398th Show Me Cash jackpot won in the game. In the past 12 months, 48 jackpots have been won with an average jackpot of more than $169,000. Find past winning numbers for all Lottery Draw Games here at MOLottery.com.
