Independence Man Uncovers $100,000 on Missouri Lottery Ticket

An Independence man recently uncovered a second-level prize worth $100,000 in the Missouri Lottery’s “$4,000,000 Payout” Scratchers game. Kraig Gier, 55, sent in a claim for the prize on Feb. 22. Lottery records show he purchased his winning ticket at Price Chopper, 16611 E. 23rd St., in Independence.

$4,000,000 Payout” is a $20 game that offers top prizes of $4 million, as well as thousands of other prizes ranging from $20 to $100,000. More than $75 million in prizes remain in the game, including four $4 million prizes and 11 $100,000 prizes.
