Winners are still coming into Missouri Lottery offices as a result of the record-breaking $1.5 billion Powerball run, which ran from Nov. 4 to Jan. 13. Most recently, an O’Fallon man redeemed a ticket that matched four white-ball numbers, plus the Powerball, from the Dec. 26 drawing. It was enough to earn 33-year-old Eduardo Cortadillo a $50,000 prize.

While shopping at Shop ‘n Save, 7909 Highway N in Dardenne Prairie, Cortadillo purchased just one Quick Pick ticket for the drawing. The winning numbers from Dec. 26 were 27, 40, 44, 59 and 65, and the Powerball number was 20.

The two-month jackpot run paid out more than $8.5 million in Missouri prizes, including a $1 million winner and 34 winners of $50,000. It also brought in approximately $23.5 million for public education, while earning retailers approximately $3.1 million in commissions and bonuses.
