Second Top-Prize Ticket Purchased in Greenwood

The New Year started off on a high note for Michelle Garrard, 40, who won $100,000 on Jan. 1 by playing a Missouri Lottery “MONOPOLY” Scratchers ticket. Garrard purchased her winning ticket from Casey’s General Store, 1101 W. Main St., in Greenwood.

This isn’t the first major Lottery prize won at this Casey’s General Store:  In September, 2015, a Greenwood man won $3 million taxes-paid after purchasing a “$3,000,000 Taxes Paid” Scratchers ticket at the location.
Introduced on Aug. 3, the $5 “MONOPOLY” Scratchers ticket is part of a family of Scratchers games with the “MONOPOLY” theme. The game offers players the chance to win prizes ranging from $5 to $100,000. Garrard was the fourth player to claim a $100,000 top prize, with more than $10 million in total prizes remaining.
