COLUMBIA FRIENDS WIN PLAYING SHOW ME 5 PAYDOWN

Story Photo Two good friends from Columbia both claimed cash prizes Aug. 2 after matching numbers in last night’s SHOW ME 5 Paydown game. Eldon Peterson, 59, claimed $4,500 for matching four numbers on six different plays ($750 each) and his friend, Winn Bornhauser, who turned 75 the same day, claimed one $750 prize for matching four of five numbers.

"I suppose it will help pay for a trip to Florida to see my wife’s mother," said Peterson, who is a welder for the University of Missouri Power Plant.

Bornhauser plans to put his winnings in the bank.

Peterson bought the tickets for both men at Osco Drug, 111 S. Providence in Columbia. He used a combination of numbers from his deceased step-father’s birth date. The winning numbers were: 6, 15, 23, 28 and 37.
