Patricia “Patty” Arnold, 51, is counting her blessings after uncovering a $100,000 top prize on a Missouri Lottery Scratchers ticket. Arnold discovered the prize after purchasing a $5 “Win It All” ticket on Oct. 18.
“I went in to buy a soda and a ticket,” said Arnold, who purchased her winning Scratchers ticket from Conoco Food Shop, 700 N. Benton Ave. in Springfield, and played it at home later the same night.
“I saw the first $5,000 and brought it to my husband. I nearly fell on the floor,” continued the winner.
Arnold, who is on disability, added that the rest of her family surrounded her as she uncovered the rest of the ticket.
While claiming her prize on Oct. 19 at the Lottery’s Springfield office, the grandmother of three said she was planning on building a handicap accessible ramp at her house. Arnold also plans on doing some minor renovations to her house, pay off debt and save the rest.
Win It All” is a $5 Scratchers ticket that was officially introduced on Sept. 8. The game offers players the chance to win up to $100,000 and features an additional play area on the back of the ticket. Arnold was the second player to claim a $100,000 top prize.
