Who says lightning can’t strike twice? After winning a $1 million prize on a Missouri Lottery Scratchers ticket in April, a Salem resident is adding a $10,000 win to his ever-growing list of Lottery winnings. David Manning, 25, located his second major Missouri Lottery prize on Oct. 4 when he purchased a “$3,000,000 Taxes Paid” from Casey’s General Store, 800 Highway 32, in Salem.

“All of my numbers matched, and I had eight of the ‘automatically win’ symbols. Each one was worth $500. I just can’t believe it,” reminisced Manning, while claiming his prize on Oct. 5.

Manning was accompanied by his fiancée, Natalie, who was immediately contacted after the prize was uncovered.

“I know to believe him anytime he says he won the Lottery now,” laughed Natalie. “It’s no joking matter.”

After uncovering a $1 million prize on the Lottery’s “50X The Cash” Scratchers ticket on April 1, the couple planned on paying for their wedding, paying down debt and moving out of state.

“We’re still planning on moving to Florida once she is done with nursing school next year,” confirmed Manning. “This will definitely help with that. We’ll invest the rest.”

$3,000,000 Million Taxes Paid” is a $20 Scratchers ticket that features more than $61 million in remaining prizes, including prizes between $500,000 and $3 million taxes paid. Introduced on May 18, Manning claimed one of 70 available $10,000 prizes available in the game. Specific information on all Missouri Lottery Scratchers games can be found here at MOLottery.com.
