Switching things up resulted in a Missouri Lottery prize for one St. Louis man. Jim Orbin, 27, was playing Club Keno with a friend at Gettemeier’s Bar & Grill, 1740 Thunderbird in Florissant, on June 11. After striking out on an 8-spot ticket, the two tried a 6-spot ticket with Double Bulls-Eye. That resulted in the $17,608 prize.

“We kind of jump around,” explained Orbin. “We switched numbers, and they were just some of the ones we usually pick.”

The construction worker didn’t have big plans for the windfall. He suggested that putting in the bank would do for now.

“Luck. Luck is all I got,” said Orbin of the win.

Gettemeier’s Bar & Grill received a bonus of $176 for selling the winning ticket, which is equal to 1 percent of prize amount.

Club Keno is a daily Draw Game with drawings every four minutes. Players can choose how many numbers to play, also called “spots,” and win various prizes based on the number of matches.
